TechFilm is a single source provider of adhesive films and preforms. Our in-house customer service capabilities include custom product formulation, CAD design, product sampling, screen printing, stencil printing, die cutting, roll cutting, and packaging/delivery of the final perform or film product. No operations or processes are subcontracted.
The process of developing a preform is simple. TechFilm customer service representatives take detailed application input from the customer. Based on this input, an initial product sample is selected. Using CAD software, the part geometry is exactly replicated. This pattern is then transferred onto a preform using a cutting or printing process. TechFilm also handles packaging and delivery of the final product. The adhesive preform is designed to exactly match a specific part's geometry.
At the manufacturing site, the end user applies the adhesive to one component or substrate using either manual or automated reel to reel assembly. The carrier sheet is removed, the part is united with its mating component, and the assembly undergoes a rapid heat cure.
